Uganda's national immunisation programme provides free vaccines at public health facilities.

Key vaccines

  • At birth: BCG and oral polio
  • 6, 10 and 14 weeks: polio, pentavalent (DPT, hepatitis B, Hib), pneumococcal and rotavirus
  • 9 months and later: measles rubella and others as scheduled
  • Girls: HPV vaccine
  • The malaria vaccine has been introduced in many districts

Schedules can change. Always follow your child's health card and health worker.
