Job description

SecureNet IT Solutions is looking for a Network Security Engineer to help design, implement and monitor security infrastructure for our growing base of SME and enterprise clients.

This is a remote-friendly role with occasional on-site visits to client premises within Kampala for setup and audits.

Key responsibilities:

• Configure and maintain firewalls, VPNs and intrusion detection systems
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments for client networks
• Respond to and investigate security incidents
• Document network architecture and security policies
• Advise clients on security best practices and compliance requirements

Qualifications & requirements

At least 3 years of experience in network security or infrastructure engineering
Strong knowledge of firewalls (e.g. pfSense, Fortinet), VPNs and network monitoring tools
CompTIA Security+, CCNA Security or equivalent certification preferred
Able to work independently and manage multiple client environments
Occasional availability for on-site visits within Kampala
